The Super Bowl took place yesterday. It's been described as the most-watched sporting event on the planet (which leads me to think that the planet in question isn't this one but I digress).
Anyways, the point is that there seems to be more interest in the ads than in the game itself. Odd, that.
Meantime, have a super bowl.

I watched the Nissan one recently. I was reasonably impressed.

On the planet? I think just in the US. I have to believe that the World Cup is more watched.

The ads are for the people forced to watch it by their friends and family even though they aren't into sports. To their defense, I watched the British Arrows (British advertising awards for those that don't know) and good advertising is very entertaining. Usually advertisers in the US spend their big money on Super Bowl ads so as a non-sporting fan, there is some merit in the claim "I watch it for the ads."

I would guess just in the US as there was some stat floating around, can't tell if its valid or not but the Chelsea vs Man City game was said to have approx 4x the amount of viewers as the super bowl
